    Hi all, I was hoping any of you gurus out there can see what kind of problem i'm facing and give me some help....

    So I'm using dvd lab pro to create a dvd of:

    1) movie A ;
    2) wave audio of movie A (checked -16 bit, 48Khz & 1536kbps bitrate);
    3) wave audio of menu(loop) (also checked - 16 bit, 48Khz & 1571kbps bitrate).

    When compiled; -

    -it can be played normally from hard drive using Power DVD;

    -using Windows Media Player(WMP), the menu has a sound but no sound when playing the movie;

    -when playing on a standalone dvd player (JVC), the menu has a sound but the movie has no sound-same with WMP

    does the difference in bitrate between the sounds(movieA & menu) contribute to my problem?

    I hope that's clear...please help.
    thanks[/u]

    Quite probably. If the two are in the same VTS, then they need to be the same format, same number of channels, and perferably the same bitrate. Either change the bitrate of the menu loop to 1536 and try it, or shift the menu to another VTS or the VMG level.

    That said, never trust WMP when testing playback of DVDs.
