I just got a brand new Cyberhome CH-DVD 500 off of Amazon for $30.00 I'm seriously considering returning, I purchased this unit because my Pioneer DV-270 has decided to skip and freeze when only playing recordable DVD's, recordable DVD's that played fine in my old Apex AD-1500. So back to the point I got the Cyberhome CH-DVD 500 so I could still watch the recordable DVD's. I first tested it with a Retail DVD - "The Green Mile" Played fine (Although it takes this player a long time to load the disks).

Then I tried a DVD Backup of the "Incredibles" Special Features disk, I played "Jak Jak Attack" (Which loaded but would never played in my Pioneer DV-270) About halfway through it froze. I had shut it off (from the back) and restart the unit.

I Then tried to play "The Incredibles" - movie and it wouldn't even load. it just said "HOLD"

I put my Retail Star Wars DVD, it played fine.

I tried my DVD back up of "The Bourne Supremecy" No load.

I looked up the Firmware 020805 and went online to the Cyberhome Website and all I can get is "Documentation" for this unit in the downloads section, I went through the FAQ for this unit and found a notice about the Player and a Firmware upgrade - the link brings me back to the Documentation - it appears they have removed the firmware. I found a post on this site about a Firmware updates that were released that are higher in increment then mine, it seems my player has been sitting around for quite a while in a warehouse with the old firmware. What is the Most current firmware update for this unit and where can I get it? TIA
