My friend has a Panasonic 32" HDTV and an evga nVidia GeForce 7800GT w/the latest drivers. He currently has the card connected to his TV via DVI. He has the video card settings set to display for a 1080i image out to the TV. When he goes to play a full screen game such as Half-Life 2 the image is partially cut off on all sides of the display, so you can only see half of the numbers on the bottom of the screen and you can't see the "Loading..." message in the bottom right when you first boot the game. The display is also cut off along the sides and the top and bottom as well on the desktop and during startup. He has the game resolution set to 1920x1080 and the TV set to display on 16:9 on that resolution. He could't find any other settings on the TV to correct the problem. Is there a specific setting(s) on the nVidia control panel to solve this?
He also tried connecting the card to the TV using component cables and the image is still missing around the sides but it does not seem to be missing as much when connected with DVI.

Overscan for sure!
No DVD can withstand the power of DVDShrink along with AnyDVD! -
Nvidia used to have a control to compensate for overscan. I don't have a Nvidia card now so I don't know if it's still there.

Thanks for the help everyone. All it took was some minor adjusting in the underscan settings in the Nvidia control panel.
