Just adding my recommendation to that of pepehdez's... I ordered 4 doublesided DVD-Rs from cd-recordable-dot-com ($5.95 apiece) and although they initially screwed up my order and sent me four single sided ones instead, they immediately sent out a replacement package with the correct media AND let me keep the 4 single sided DVD-Rs.
I've used all of the single sided ones and all but one of the double sided ones, and they WORK LIKE A CHARM! They play on my computer, most set top units that I've tried and even my mother's old Panasonic set top unit that specifically says in the manual "Will not play writable/re-writable media." That was sure a pleasant surprise.
Anyway, by all means, give cd-recordable-dot-com your businses... I've yet to find cheaper DVD-Rs.
