It was great while it lasted (for about 6 months), but now it doesn't "see" any non commercial dvds any longer (not the ones I burned on it, or blank ones), and the audio on the fron inputs went out.
So, it's going back to Costco tomorrow.
But I'd like another recorder with similar capabilities (hard drive is a must, it needs to burn plus media, be able to do simple editing of commercials and such), preferably for a similar price ($300).
I might be able to talk my husband into a few $ more, but probably no more than $350.
Any recs?
Sony? LG?

I tried Liton, Ilo, Panasonic and Pioneer. Between those I wouldn't buy anything but Pioneer. Unfortuantely it's only -R/RW. Why do you require +R?
