Last night I upgraded to 10.4.3, and just for fun this morning I checked in About This Mac and discovered that my Pioneer 109's Burn Support is now listed as Yes (AppleShipped/Suppported).
So it's likely that iDVD5 no longer needs the French patch to work with dual layer projects.

Not only does iDVD5 no longer need the french mod, 10.4.3 requires the removal of the French mode in order to gain the DL status. The modification, for those that have forgotton (myself) is in the package contents>MacOS>iDVD. When I looked there I had an item named iDVD and another named iDVD2 (a name I gave to the original file). I removed the iDVD file and renamed the other to iDVD and started the application and had regained the DL support.

BUT DOES 10.4.3 FIX SMB ISSUES?!?!?
that's all I'm concerned about...
