Oritron DVD650 color trouble

hey I just bought an Oritron DVD650 and I'm trying to get it to play on my Zenith tv, not sure of what the model of the tv is but it was bought in about 2-3 years. I have it directly connected via rca jacks correctly and I still get a picture but just no color to the picture. I've tried all the settings, is there another setting that I could have left out? or is the dvd player just defective?

I just was given one of these players for Christmas.
I did not have to change any settings to view a nice picture. Although I checked epinions for this brand of player and more than 50% rated Oritron as a inferior player.
I think it is the deck. Hope this helps

hey, I already know the brand is good, my uncle and my mom have the same player and I've used there dvd players and have had no problems but I am trying to get the player that I got for my dad to work right, it seems I have a defective player. I guess 1 out of 3000 bad dvd players isn't that bad. I'm just going to take the dvd player back and get another one.
