    Hello,

I am trying to convert an avi file to vcd using AviScript, AviSynth & CCE.
The problem is that When I press the preview button in AviScript I get the massage "ACM failed o suggest a compatible PCM format".
I checked all diagnostics in the tool tab and they passed OK.
I have all the codecs installed (including AC3 filter) and there are no problems viewing any avi file. I Also checked in the site for a solution but I didnt find any.
I tried the thing with the ("filename",false) but no luck.
As for the file: (from Gspot)
    Audio codec - ac3 48khz 2ch
    Video codec - divx 5.0

    Thank you for your help

AC3Filter is a directshow filter it won't be used by AVISynth unless you use directshowsource().

You might want to checkout Nic's audio plugin, it supports AC3 decoding, however it requires a seperate AC3 stream.

Re extract the audio from the original file with this
    tutorial..
Direct stream copy the video to a silent .AVI..

It's been long for me, but i believe you simply audiodub, or simply remerge them in VirtualDub, and do your encoding with a new .AVI source..

    Good luck!!!
