This is the first time I've seen the Verbatim's on sale at Best Buy. I know these won't last at the store in my location, placed an order online for one. I've used there DL media with no problems so I thinking that the -R singles won't give me any problems.

I don't buy DVD's from Best Buy anymore. They purchase nothing but 3 rate junk for DVD Media. Why do you think it is on sale? Just to get you in to buy something else.

I wasn't aware that Best Buy manufactured Verbatim DVDs.
As always, check the country of origin when buying media. -
jdizzy40, Verbatim from Best Buy is just as good as Verbatim from anywhere else. RacerXRed, I don't know where you've been but the 16x Verbatims have been on sale at BB many times. They are made in Taiwan like most Verbatim media, made by CMC using Mitsubishi dye and equipment.

Good media, good price.

Gen-An,
I usually don't hit Best Buy for anything but DL media, they are the only store in my area that has it in stock, but I've never seen it on sale. Sometimes I will catch the Sony, Fuji, and TDK SL on sale in the cake cases and buy them. The Verbatims caught my eye when I went to BB's site and saw that they were on sale, and like I said, no problems with Verbatim's DL media.
jdizzy40, I have yet to pick up anything "junk" from BB as far as media is concerned. -
CMC is awful. Their discs, their material, their standards. Real estate make no difference. MCC is just using their facilities, not their supplies or standards of workmanship.
Best Buy has plenty of crap media. Memorex, Imation, Dynex, and TDK (DVD+R) all use garbage media at some point or another. Usually CMC, but also some others. But that does not make the store bad. Just do not buy it. They have plenty of good stuff to go around: Fuji, Sony, Verbatim.Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)
