US Logic Divx Player Questions

Hi there all!

Well first I was wondering if anyone else around has bought this to get their feedback. Only 3 people have reviewed it so far in the lists.

I wonder why when on some of my videos, the audio keeps getting out of sync with the video. I can fix it by rewinding (hummm I know there must be a word that means to rewind but for DVD players, seeing as how they don't wind) and then let it play. But on a few videos, it only take 5 - 8 minutes before it's out of sync again. It there anything I can do to my video on my computer before buring it?

I really like the idea of this player because I don't need to encode my movies into DVD-player format, I can just take my movies, my firends projects, whatever, and just burn it to DVD or CD, and it plays. The biggest reason I like this is because it takes my computer SOOOOO long to convert to full DVD format.

This brings me to my last question. Some movies I have come off the camera and save as a .mov file. This, when burned, doesn't play. Does anyone know what would be the fasted way and format to convert these files to?

i'd convert to xvid/mp3. vdub will do, with a guide.

with my standalones, the older dvdrips usually go out of sync. also, tvrips will go out of sync too. with my dvp642, toggling the system menu will fix the sync. with my other player, the norcent, toggling the P/I (progressive/interlaced) fixes the sync as well. maybe there's something similar on the us logic remote.

anyway, since you're the only one currently posting about this particular player, i have some questions for you.

does it have a cd browser menu like the philips dvp-642?

also, does it play divx subtitles (srt)? from the 2 mpeg-4 players i have, they have the cd browser menu. you'd have to select the srt file, press the subtitle button, then select the avi file, then play. the subtitles would show up that way. does the us logic work the same way?
