I recently modified my Canon Pixma 5000 printer to print on DVDs. I've been stocking up up on printable media, but I haven't found any high quality silver inkjet hub-printable media to buy.

I have TY and Verbatim hub-printable white, Verbatim non-hub-printable white (couldn't find any TY higher than 4x), and TY non-hub-printable silver. I've been looking for some TY or Verbatim silver hub-printable disks, but I can't seem to find any. Must be 8x or higher, and I don't care if it's + or -. Would like a spindle of 50 but am willing to buy 100 if necessary.

I know I came across some TY 4x silver hub-printables somewhere, but nothing 8x or higher. Am I wasting my time looking for something that doesn't exist? If not, I'd appreciate any info on where to buy them. I'm in the USA. I did search this forum first and didn't find anything helpful. Thanks.

I've never seen Silver hub-printable TY on any US site, and silver hub printable Verbatim doesn't exist (see the Verbatim website). You'll probably have to try Prodisc if you must have silver hub, or settle on TY silver regular printable area.

Thanks. So it looks like I am wasting my time looking for something that doesn't exist (or at least is unavailable in the US).

I don't need silver hub-printables. I've been using a lot of the TY silver non-hub-printables, and I really like the way they look, so I thought it would be nice to have some silver hub-printables as well.

Too bad I can't remember where I saw those 4x TY silver hub-printables. (I'd rather get 4x than go down a notch on the quality ladder.) I just remember thinking when I saw them, that if they made 4x, they surely must make 8x or 16x. Oh well... Maybe if I wait a while they will.
