slide show with sound

i have many pictures i want to put into a slide show but i also want to put a sound file in with them it would be me talking about each picture is there a way to do this i've thought of one way where i record my voice and put it on the computer cut it up and put the wav file in with the picture with tmpgenc and use vcdeasy to put them together by giving it a 0 second wait period would this work? is this a hard way if so can someone hook me up with the easy way?

how about trying a slideshow program like memoriesontv pro show gold or adobe pictureshow
