Great program, bought it from day one. I would like to know if it is possible that when you add your assets and then convert to mpeg and draf to window. 2 files might be only 900meg together. How about the autofit button being able to autofit the disk to the full dvd as it does when you add say 2 films together abd use autofit it shrinks tio fit. can it be made to autofit and expand and use the full dvd
8) keep up the great work, best prog available todate 8)

If I understand correctly, SVCD2DVD uses the MAX bitrate for DVD if autofit is not used. So, if the length of the files used warrants it, the DVD will be filled. It is dependant on video length in minutes to determine the bitrate used and space necessary. This is with AVI source material.
No changes of this sort are done with mpeg source material, the size and bitrate remain the same except for small differences introduced by audio conversion. this is to ensure no degrading of quality in the mpeg source material.
So i guess what I'm saying is the program already does this automatically when possible. -
if you are using dvd movie factory and are making a dvd from a svcd film joined, you can alter the size of the finished product so it fits the dvd in full, and also you can shrink the finished film to make it fit if say you are using a avi file x2 which is to big it will auto fit the disk to fill the dvd
Svcd2dvd will do the same by autofit the disk if you have a file that is to big ie:if you are putting three films on the disk it will shrink to fit. It would be nice if it did the oposite where by if the film ends up at say 1.2 after you have added assests and moved mpeg up in window ready to burn, then being able to press autofit so it fills the dvd

And since SVCD2DVD was created to AVOID re-encoding your source, it would be silly to have that feature. Most people who use it don't want to re-encode their videos. They want to get VCD and or SVCD mpegs onto a DVD, something that MovieFactory probably cannot do, nor most DVD authoring programs, hence the reason chrissyboy created it.
I mean you're asking for it to do something it was specifically designed not to do.
