  1. Not a Great price but marked 1 X to 8X and is Made In Japan

    Media Code: Manufacturer ID: SONY08D1
So I thought I'd post for anybody that has problems with 16X media. Sale through Saturday Sept. 17, 2005

All the Sony's at my local Bridgewate store seemed to be MIJ

    Cheers

Almost forgot they had Memorex 15 packs of MIT DL, not sure if it was a good price and all the DL media they had were MIT even the Fuji's.
    Disc ID: RITEK-D01-01
    Book Type: DVD+R DL

  2. Bought the +r pack. Made in Japan (YUDEN000T02); are these good as ricohs? They also say 1x-8x, but they seem to be only burnable at 2.4x Dvdinfo pro even says they are 8x. Any reason to why this happens? Will my burner break faster if I continue burning a lot at 2.4x?

YUDENT002 is easily the best DVD+R disc made.
RICOH is nowhere near as good.

Not burning faster than 2.4x would be a burner issue. These discs are actually stable at up to 12x burning.

I have an older pack of the Sony DVD+Rs that say made in Taiwan (RICOHJPNR01) and I'm able to burn those at my maximum speed of 4x.
I just find it weird that I can't burn the YUDENT002 DVD+Rs at the same speed.

those ty yudent002 are great at 12x and good at 16x

althou when burning them at 16x its best to scan everyone to make sure it was a good burn as some disc's dont like it that fast

That must be a misprint... As far as I know +R's lowest speed is 2.4X I do not believe they ever had 1X or 2X +Rs.

They should be good disks. Maybe your burner needs a firmware upgrade?

The -Rs work fine at 8X and when I played back a couple they were good.

    Good Luck.
