I recently bought a 50 pack for $7.49 can. www.CWO.ca. I already burned a few for audio and video. Seems okay. Thoughts?

Brand is irrelevant. Who's manufactured them? If they work for you, then why worry?

Scan it in DVDInfo or DVD identifier and it will give you the true code. Even that could be faked as like with all the TY fakes out there.

Ritek CDs are fairly reputable. Yet, quite a few of them crapped out on me, recently. That's why I bought the Sky discs. This, after my previous 100 pack of Ridata proved flawless. That's the worry. No consistency of quality it seems. It changes on a dime.

The Sky CDs are I believe produced by InfoSmart.

That's the media jungle for you. There's no telling what's inside the box until you've opened it, no matter if it's the same brand you bought a week earlier, and that worked fine. That's why I don't care what I buy, and have resorted to "underburn" my DVDs to keep out of the outer edge where cheap media mostly craps out.

quite true actually..most of todays media is shit, and packaging means nothing, like he says.
if they work, use em,first time they crap out, take them back.
