Hello All.
Being new to this I'm wondering if their is a TV card that has a TV out so we may use MS Media 5 to control a TV . All the ones I see Will only allow control of a Monitor via the Card.
Thanks for any help

I'm not sure what you are trying to do. All a monitor or TV do is display what is sent to them. TV out ports are usually found on video cards, not the TV tuner cards.

What do you mean by 'control'?
If you are talking about Media Center 2005, it's an operating system, a version of XP.
It's made to work with Media Center certified video cards.
If your TV has composite or S-Video in, just about any video card with those outputs and any OS can put your pc video on the screen. Not as fancy a MCE, though. -
We are looking to use media center 2005 to change the chanels on a Tv. Svideo mad do it.But just like a VCR which has a TV Coax out to a tv. I have heard that several Card mfg. have such a card.

TV Tuner cards are almost exclusively input cards. There are exceptions, ATI AIW Line of cards comes to mind. The video signal to your monitor comes from your video card not the TV Tuner. If you buy a video card or have a video card with TV Out, you can control the TV via the tuner, although you will also be controlling the video on your monitor at the same time.

I'm not so sure just a TV with no computer monitor will work. You may have to have both hooked up.
BTW, the picture on a TV using composite video will not replace a computer monitor. You may be able to watch video OK, but the lettering that the computer puts out may be all but illegible on a TV. I use my TV only for the video. Even with high quality component video to a HDTV screen the lettering is difficult to read. I would never use it in place of a computer monitor. -
RE: LINCOPC: TV OUT
The Radeon AiW provides the following monitor/tv out adapter, as shown in the diagram.

This pc will only be Connrcteed to a TV for movies and TV viewing only. And if it don't work Then a Plasma Monitor will be the answer.

2.) You DO NOT need an MCE approved analog card.
3.) You DO need a video card with TV out.
4.) You DO NOT need MCE to do this.
It can be done with a Hauppauge PVR-150 (retail version with remote control), and GB-PVR, Mediaportal et al.Cheers, Jim
