    Hello,
when I open a file (.avi or .bin) ffmpegX doesn't recognise it. It says it is "unreadable" (the word is a translation of the french version, I don't know if it uses that word in the english version). I still can re-encode it but I can't get the info nor making a cropping for example. It even doesn't recognise Xvid made from ffmpegX, any idea on how to solve this ? Thanks.

  2. Does this happen with any file? If so, check if your disk name has spaces or special characters or accents and remove them.

It happens with the .avi, .mov, .dv and .bin (the ones I got). Just OK with VOB files.
    No spaces nor special characters...

  4. Are you using ffmpegX 0.0.9t r3 and is it installed in /Applications ?

I have the 0.0.9s and it is in a directory which is itself in /Applications.

  6. Move it in /Applications and update to 0.0.9t r3.

The download of the 0.0.9t points to this url : "http://homepage.mac.com/major4/ffmpegX.dmg". It doesn't say anything about r3, is it the right url ?

OK, I did what you said it now works for the .avi files but for the .bin, it just says : psxstr in the first box and "no video" and "no audio" in the others...

  10. The .bin file is not supposed to be used as an input file, as it should be a burn disk image. Try VCDGearX to extract a mpg file from it. http://homepage.mac.com/bauer.w/vcdgearx/
