dazzle dvc-usb xp support?

i downloaded MovieStar 4.25 from the internet.
i used the drivers that came with it.
it installed fine but will always lock up at the detecting hardware screen.
the dazzles yellow led turns on. the only way to unlock the software is to unplug the dazzle.

the unit will work on a win me pc.

IIRC, There's an issue with Nvidia chipsets that they have a patch/fix for. MovieStar is not what I would use to capture with though. There's a capture utility (DVXCEL.exe) that gives you better control than the MS software does.

my laptop does the same thing and it has an ati video card.
DVXCEL.exe? i use this for my dazzle 150.
will it work with the dazzle dvc-usb this is the device i am having problems with?

I've never used that one so I wouldn't know. I use it with the DVC-100. Try it and find out and post back with what you found out.
