Hi. I'm trying to convert 3 clips (QuickTime Movie-Nero ShowTime File-Mpeg) to go onto a dvd (to be played in a stand alone). Now i can convert them all to the correct format (the name escapes me) using WinAvi/DVDSanta (though haven't tried TMPGnc). When i go to author the dvd using TMPGnc 1.6 i get warnings about incompatible frame rates and all sorts. I then used dgPulldown to try to fix this..the QuickTime Movie went fine..both the Nero+Mpeg both got a warning..'The input file must be an elementary stream/ not a program stream'. What??
I have tried allsorts and cannot get it to work (converting both to QT Movies etc) i really would like to get all 3 on one DVD..can anyone offer me a solution, please??

Demux the audio from the video and you will have elementary streams. You can do that with TMPGEnc tools.

Ok..so far a partial success. I have managed to get the showtime+wma mpeg both to 29.97. However..cannot alter the QTime file from 15fps! It always comes out the same as it started..apart from being altered to a Nero S T file (which then wont play it..see below).

I have noticed that the 2 ive managed to change are both Mpeg1 and the QTime i cannot is a Mpeg4? Maybe this is the source of another problem. I don't know how to alter it to match the others. My Nero tells me it cannot dcode Mpeg4 and i need Nero 6 or somat.
If this is a true hurdle...I'm thinkin It'll be far easier to put the 2 I've converted on 1 dvd..and put the QTime one on a seperate dvd or even vcd.

    Getting confused now!

Did you try using the QuickTime plugin for TMPGenc?

Give it a try then use dgPullDown on the resultant video file. Then use your DVD Authoring proggy and let it burn.

    Cheers!

Hey TTWC, No i had no idea about that. I did try it and it played really funny..sound went out of sync and..well i generally got jarred off and put 2 on a dvd and shoved the problem one on a (sv)cd. Both play fine so im happy. It just for a mate whose pc incapable but i know he'll enjoy it. Thanks for all your helps..i'm off to put an ice pack on my head to get my confused brain away from critical mass!! Later.
