I am using Windows Media Player version 9.0 and am having trouble playing my .mp3 files repeatedly. After approximately 10 repeats, my computer would crash (that d... blue screen) with message about some VXD file.
However, I can play all my .mp3 files repeatedly 24/7 with my other softwares, such as Jet Audio, Quintessial, etc. without any problems, i.e. no crashing, no blue screen.
I suspect B. Gates's POS is trying to link my computer to some database each time a song is played and is storing the info somewhere in my computer, causing it to crash. I have 750MB RAM.
Comments, anyone?

I don't think you are far wrong.
But you should be able to remove some of the programs prying. On the help screen, look for 'Setting security options' and 'Setting privacy options' and you should be able to tone down things a little. It's really probably trying to catalog your MP3's, but that may be dragging down the system.
Many of us would probably tell you to not use WMP9 as the final solution.
