  1. hi everyone, l,ve just downloaded The film machine,and DIKO and l,m finding them hard to use.First of all, am l right in saying film machine needs a encoder, l have downloaded qu-enc and l have not got a clue how to use this with avisynth scripts to make inputs.Second DIKO, does this program do what l want it to do, which is capture off my dv camcorder,encode,and burn all in one program.Please if anyone out there uses these programs or know about these can you pass me some info.l just want to make home movies onto discs.thanks

    There are probably better and far simpler tools for getting hoem movies on to DVD. If you don't need to edit them or create titles, the simplest way is to get a DVD recoder and record them directly.

    If you do want to go further, then be prepared to actually do some research. That means more than just asking questions here, but doing some searches, reading the guides, and putting in the ffort up front. If you get stuck after that then you find plenty of assistance here.

    If you look at your post (above) you will see that the tools you mentioned are shown in a different colour. Clicking on them will take you to the tools page for that tool. On that page you will find links to guides that usually tell you how to set to tool up, and how to use it to get results. Start there and see how you go.
