  1. Hi everyone,

Can anyone suggest an easy (and hopefully cheap) way for me to stream tv signals wirelessly from one room to my PC in the other room? The TV is in the bedroom; the PC is in the home office, which does not have a cable outlet or anything. I do not have a spare TV, so the only way to do this is if I were to watch the TV signals on my PC monitor (I do have a TV tuner card, however.)

I'd especially appreciate it if somehow I can avoid having to purchase any X10 products -- just don't really care to support a company that's popup-happy.

    Thanks in advance!

bestbuy.com has 2 wireless transmitters that look to do what you need.

they're not too cheap though.. i guess that is relative though.

i wouldn't endorse X10 just because they shamelessly suggest using their spy cameras for peeping tom agendas. I'm really surprised they haven't been dinged for that.

it will ,if they are using exact same frequency, but on wireless network you can easily change the frequency.

streaming tv signal wirelessly is not a very good idea, ive tried that before with several brands, there is a lot of signal noise that would interfer with your wireless tv signal, operating the microwave for example would make the tv signal almost unwatchable during the microwave cycle (unless ur microwave is a mile away ), cordless phones, wireless net, car passing by etc etc...+ sometimes signal will drop and you have to fiddle with the antenna position to get the best signal again n again.

I end up with a device which streams AV signal through a phone line its made by Leafrog ( Which they stop producing now i think) no interference,no antenna to fiddle and the AV quality is really good u cant hardly differentiate the coax signal from it.

EDIT: can you just fish a line to the other room thru the attic its not really that hard, youll get the best possible signal using coax.
