    My good friend who films events and conventions are selling his films as VCDs/DVDs. But to his dismay, he found his copies reproduced without his consent. He asked me to post this (besides I also want to know) asking how will one burn to make a VCD or DVD that has copyright protection?

    thanks in advance

    It's impossible to stop people copying VCD/DVD. If you want to put CSS encyption on a DVD, Encore is the way to go but there are plenty of programs to remove it.

    Yes, this Q pops up at least once every week, it seems. Mostly answered by three kinds of replies, two of which appear above. The third variation usually involves physical destruction of the disc.

    F.A.Q. = Frequently Asked Questions

    - always a good place to start looking. If you've asked it, chances are it has already been asked and answered 1,000's of times before. There's also a sticky at the top of this very forum, which would have been right in front of your eyes before even posting this thread. Please take the time to do some research before posting.

    Bottom line: No.
    If in doubt, Google it.

    Read the stickies and do a forum search. That's why they're there.
    Here's a shortcut though: "No. Period. End of story."
