    O.K I just recently started messing around with rewritable discs, been doing the video thing for awhile and was sick of coasters.
    My panasonic standalone formats the rw discs and erases everything on it.
    If I can remember I recorded something on my pc and tried to erase it on my panny and the nero program,It still has video on it and when I try to format in my standalone it says cannot format.
    Is this common with rewritables,Did I record something on there that cant be erased???

    Or another application to erase it. Try DVD Info Pro or the full erase option in Nero.
