splitting a dvd using chapters

i have this dvd i want to split to 2 dvdr's. but all 8 episodes are contained in 1 title. so i can't split using dvd shrink. i tried using the ifo mode in dvd decrypter to select the chapters i want and then open the file in tmpgenc author ,but there is an annoying line above the image. i might not see this line when watching it on tv... but i'm not sure... does anyone know of some small program that will let me split the dvd according to chapters and let me keep the menus? thanks for your help.

Are you saying this line only exists after ripping with decrypter, and isn't there before ?

VOBblanker. Also DVDRemake but it's not free.

yeah the line only seems to be there afterwards right at the top of the image probably because its a vob file intead of a mpeg
