Lately this particular media is showing up more frequently. I'd hazard that it may be more garbage. But the prices are getting VERY cheap. It may be okay for throwaway burns. I tried two discs on my pioneer 105. They burn well up to 4 GB. Play well in two standalones. I've had local merchants swear to me it's at least as good as Ritek G05s. Heard that one before. But one did give me 7 discs for $2.70 to try out.

Your local merchant is a dumbass trying to make a sale.

Not to mention the fact that RITEK is no sweetheart to compare against (rather ghastly stuff at times, in the past year or so).

    AML is crap media. Period.

This may seem harsh, but it's the truth. And I hate to see people get sweet-talked into buying garbage by some loser salesman.

I only took the samples. No spindle sale. If he wasn't about to part with those, I would've walked. Samples ONLY the first time is my rule. I was very curious, as I've been seeing these around at various media stores a under the Maxus label. The way to gauge anything is through you're own experience. They seem "okay" so far. (3 burns now, all play) If problems develop I'll let people here know.

  5. I hope those have nice printing. Those could then be very good beer bottle coasters
