  1. I know this is the first step to do if using the dvd2onex and toast method. Well I was trying to DVDBackup Alexander, and I get all these errors.
-Error in processing file 'VIDEO_TS.VOB'. Continue processing other files or stop now?
-Error in processing file 'VTS_01_0.VOB'. Continue processing other files or stop now?
-Error in processing file 'VTS_01_1.VOB'. Continue processing other files or stop now?
-Error in processing file 'VTS_01_2.VOB'. Continue processing other files or stop now?
Error in processing file 'VTS_01_4.VOB'. Continue processing other files or stop now?

Then it quits, and nothing Backs up. Any suggestions or am I doing something wrong? Or is there another program that takes off all protection off retail dvds?

Yeah, MTR is the standard, but I wouldn't trash your copy of DVD Backup. Twice in the past month I've come across disks that MTR choked on, but that DVD Backup was able to rip.

Just remember that it's an "old-style" ripper in that you must play the disk first with the Apple DVD Player - - quickly clicking through all the chapters, just to be safe - - before you try to run DVD Backup. Unlike MTR, DVD Backup uses the decoding file created by the DVD player to figure out encryption codes.

If you just pop a disk in for the first time and try to run DVD backup, you'll get the kind of error messages in the original post.
