    Hi can anyone tell me if the 711 can be upgraded, with either software or hardware, to play MP3's? I have emailed Philips about 7 times and havent recieved any replys.

    Sorry son. Not possible ... at the moment at least. I have the same dvd player and upgraded it to ver. 7.12. Works great but no mp3 support WeŽll just have to wait and pray
