When I finalize the DVD-Rs I make in the DR-M10 I lose those thumbnails for each title that I so carefully set up. Is that supposed to happen or is there a setting to keep those?
ALSO, when I put a DR-M10 recorded & finalized DVD-R into that unit or another player the menu screen doesn't appear -- it just sits there on stop leaving you wondering if there's even a DVD in the machine. You have to press Play or Menu to get anything to happen, which is unlike any other DVD I've played and is going to be damned confusing. Is there a way to get the menu to automatically come up when you insert the DVD? My Panasonic ES-10 lets you choose before finalizing whether you want the menu to appear or the 1st title to play. The older Panasonic E50 has just the menu option. How do I get the JVC to perform similarly? If I can't I hate it.

There is nothing to make the menus come up automatically, it's the way the machine is made. Stupid, I hated it too.
