  1. I was on yahoo Auctions looking for some deals looking for a MAC. Well they had some and allot of people selling them unrated. I would say about 20 laptops and 30 desktops for MAC stuff and I went thet to day and now theres only one MAC laptop on yahoo auctions. I think all the scammer left Ebay for Yahoo LOL.

  2. I have looked at yahoo auctions a few times and I wasn't impressed. With paypal protection there is almost no risk on ebay, you cant say that with yahoo.
This plan is so bad, it must be one of ours.

  3. Big time scammers at Yahoo auctions. You can spot them a mile away since almost of them have no ratings and selling stuff cheap!

I was looking for a bag for the wife's b-day and found this seller selling a full line of products using the official product's website photos. A big NO NO!

Sure enough, 3 weeks later he's got over 30 neg's because money was sent and no goods received.
    I'm a nobody, and nobody's perfect...so I'm perfect!

Have you ever tried to get something back from Paypal?

I know a LOT of people that got ripped on Ebay (as sellers and buyers) and Paypal just made excuses for why their coverage "didn't applied" to all their cases.... every single time.

I had one fraudulent purchase from eBay – The guy had mostly good feedback (I think only 2 bad out of over 100).

Just after I made the purchase every one of his auctions went sour – over 30 of them. I filed a complaint to eBay and PayPal and nothing was ever resolved. It was only about $20 so I never spent all that much time on it.

Paypal Protection & e-bay protection is BS!!!!!!!! i have been taken for $100.00 and even $350.00 and neither did a damn thing about it!!!!!!!!!!
The $300.00 rip off i think i got like $40.00 back through paypal.
They just say all that crap because they don't want to lose their $$$ comission/fee's if you dont go through "THEM"

I've never had any problems with Ebay or Paypal. I've been an Ebay member for a LONG time and a Paypal member since it's early days.
For some reason people seem to throw common sense out the window when it comes to Ebay purchases. You wouldn't buy a computer or electronic device from a flea market would you?

If you have never experienced a problem, it's logical that you are satisfied with the service you are receiving, BUT if you ever experience a problem (either as a seller or buyer) then God be with you, because besides him... you're on your own!.

You can never tell the real colors of a company until you have a problem with them. Some companies makes an extra effort in order to help you, but some others makes you feel totally unwanted and unwelcome IE: EBAY & PAYPAL.

All the buyer protection plans they offer are pure CRAP, they will never ever help you.

In my case, I was selling blank dvds then one day this buyer bought a 100 pack and paid through paypal; transaction concluded, everybody happy.
15 days later he bought another 100 pack and paid through paypal again. A couple of days later paypal deducted me $50 (the final price of the auction) from my account without giving me the chance to say nothing, because "the transaction was suspicious and potentially unauthorized".
I emailed them several times, called them several times in order to ask what the @#$#$ happened, but they always told me that "their policy forbids them to share that kind of information with me, but that I should rest assured because their trained professionals are handling the case and will get a good resolution to this situation".
15 days later I received another email saying that the resolution was confidential and thanks for my cooperation.
I ended with $50 less and absolutely no information at all,
so in my humble opinion **** PAYPAL

I filed claims with both Ebay and Paypal, and even though the SOB's substracted that transaction's money from my account, they didn't even returned the "commision fees", how convenient.

I don't have to say that inmediately after that I cancelled my paypal account. So if you are thinking of opening a paypal account, PLEASE do yourself a favor and read through this website:

You don't have to buy a computer or something expensive to get ripped off, as a matter of fact, most of the scams are found in the $20-$40 range, because if you are ripped $1000 it's a good guess that you will put some effort in trying to find the scammer, but if it's a $20 scam, it's most likely that the affected person won't spend much time trying to catch that thief. They will probably swallow the bad experience and never buy anything there again.

Why not? At least at the flea market you don't have massive shipping charges and you know that you are getting the actual item.

The item will be just as untested by you at a flea market as it would be buying it from "some guy on Ebay".

My post said "electronic device" in case you guys missed that....

If it's used you can maybe even test it at the flea market or in your car, depending upon the item. At least some rudimentary test, like plug it in and see if it powers up, etc.

Yeah I bought a DVD set from a seller for $65. She had a very good rating. After winning the auction, I contacted here several times. I contacted another buy from another one of her auctions. He was having the sam experience. I was going to leave feedback, but the seller's account was suddenly deactivated. I filed the claim with paypal and 10 days later I got my money back, but maybe I got lucky.
This plan is so bad, it must be one of ours.
