DVD / DivX Players / Recorders, What Is Best?

My Cyberhome player just packed up, it was a great machine but now I am on the market for a new one. I don't usually buy DVD players, so as this is a rare occaision I might as well make it worth my money. My budget is under £150, still deciding whether to go for DivX/Xvid playback or DVDR recording, or both in the same unit if possible. Can anyone recommend anything?

I am in the UK, links to websites or places to buy would be appriciated for reference. Thanks in advance

I think the LG LRA 536 will do the job you want. The price range ??? So far, I'm satisfied with it. Bought it at Future Shop in Canada at 249 Cn $
