I have a video that has two languages talking at the same time. It was initially made with an English speaker. Then Spanish audio translation was added in and it is the loudest. How can I get rid of the Spanish?

This is very irritating and distracting from this instructional video?

    Thanks

Here is a screen shot from Gspot of this video.

    I had a similar problem.
If you have any of these audio tools:
    Goldwave
    Cooledit
    Adobe Audition
you may be able to remove the louder Spanish audio using the option "Noise reduction".
Search thru forum posts and you will find a description how to reduce noise with those tools.
You should experiment a bit, but a decent job can be done.
I used Goldwave, but I read that Cooledit or Adobe Audition do a better job on noise removal.

I checked on the left/right channels and it appears to be the same in both. Even though I have an excellent sound chip (Nvidia 2onboard) there is only one plug going into the back. Thus, am I really getting true stereo. I used the L/R sliders on the Nvidia Media Control Panel and got the same in both.

I have CoolEdit Pro. However, don't I need to demux the video first in say like, TMPGEnc to get at or separate the video and audio files?

    Thanks,

Yes, I believe that you have to demux audio and video first.
I do not have Cooledit pro, but I have read posts here, about noise removal with it. It should be quite simple.
    Why noise removal?
That Spanish audio was recorded later, as a translation of original English audio, if I understood you correctly.
So, try to find a small part of your audio, where only Spanidh audio is heard and mark it as a "noise" to be removed.

    Thanks I'll try it.

Yes, I've been using Cool Edit Pro v2 for a year now. I really like it. My wife had me copy all her older audio cassettes to my computer. I used it for that, then edited them creating the needed individual tracks, and then processed some of them so they would all have the same quality before burning to CD.

    Again, thanks
