I am looking to buy a laptop and I need some advice. This will be my first laptop and I really don't know a whole lot about them. I am leaning towards a Dell Inspiron 6000, but I've heard horror stories about their customer support.

Can anyone give me some advice? I'm looking to spend about $1500. I already have a sweet desktop, so I really need something for school.

Does anyone know of a website that I can go to witha message board for the discussion of laptops?

    Thanks!

If you don't mind waiting, keep checking the online coupon sites. Dell has offered $750.00 off a purchase of $1499.00 or more twice in the past two months. I just bought a Dell 600m (I'm typing on it now) and it is sweet!!! The original price was $1532.00 or something like that. I paid $823.00 after tax and free shipping! Great deal!!!
