Hey all-
Just made my first DV cap with firewire and Videowave 4 se. The quality is nice but I see vertical lines on the edges of the subject matter when it is moving. It's almost like vertical interlace (if there is such a thing). I guess this is the problem with the compression built into the DV camera when you output through the firewire connection. The s-video capture I made of the same movie looked much better although the raw avi file was much larger than the firewire captured avi. Am I doing something wrong with DV capturing or is there a way to turn off the compression on the camera itself?
TIA
