Hi,
I can't get rid of dropped frames when I capture videos from my camcorder. 1 hour video has around ~120 dropped frames (I am not sure but I think 1 event caused it and not several) I used WinDV\Scenalyzer ...
1. Can the DV source (camcorder\cassete) can cause dropped frames when capturing? Can recording gaps in the cassete can cause this?
2. On my PC I shut down everything (Antivirus and etc...) and have 2.8Mhz CPU + 1GB RAM and 120GB SATA HD. Scenalyzer verified and confirmed I have 10x access to HD then really needed.
3. The capture card I'm using is the DV port on my Audigy Sound Blaster card. Can this be the problem?
Do dropped frames cause audio\video sync problem? or some frames are just missing although the audio is synchronized?
Many thanks in advance!!!!

3. Audigy DV port highly likely the problem. Get a separate port.
