Good Morning,
I recently downloaded the TMPGEnc software. I would like to purchase the software so that I can remove the 30 day MPEG-2 limit. The web site does not seem to mention how to get rid of the limit.
Can anyone help ?
Thanks,
Bob

The 30 day limit can be reset by deleting the following registry key:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{63902277-B101-4049-8B46-C24B67E155E5}
Or, make a file "TMPGEnc_MPEG2_Reset.reg" with the following content:
REGEDIT4
; Enables TMPGEnc's MPEG-2 encoder for 30 more days.
[-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{63902277-B101-4049-8B46-C24B67E155E5}] -
This is because its alpha or beta software, they haven't got a final product which they are happy about releasing for money. I've downloaded a few versions now, and it is interesting to see how presumably the feedback they get from users affects the next product. I'm waiting for the PAL DVD setup version, there'san NTSC one already.
No doubt they will shortly be charging for a reliable program, I will certainly be a buyer.

I sure hope it costs less that CCE. -
I am not finding this file:
{63902277-B101-4049-8B46-C24B67E155E5}
Could it be called something else?
-
It is not a file. It is in the registry, If you don't know how or what you are doing I suggest you don't mess with it.
It can do evil things if you don't know what you are doing. -
Yes, I know it is in the registry. I got all the way to:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\
but then it goes from:
{6342 XXXXXXX" etc.)
tp
{63A4B XXXXXXX" etc.}
Any ideas??

It's definately there... takes a bit of searching, then hit delete... Works for me, although the edit and find function in windows couldn't locate it.

Hi,
I'm using a combination of 3 files when launching TMPGEnc v2.02:
1. TMPGEnc Latest shortcut pointing to TMPGEnc_Run.bat
2. TMPGEnc_Run.bat calls _TMPGEnc_MPEG2_Reset.reg
3. _TMPGEnc_MPEG2_Reset.reg deletes the Windows Registry Key for TMPGenc MPEG2 limit, then
4. Launches TMPGEnc.exe
Load time is about the same, but every time TMPGEnc is launched, the Registry entry is deleted.
Cheers. -
Dude's
All you have 2 do is set your date's back on your computer.
e.g if you have 23 days left on mpg-2 function you just put the date back by 2 days and you will have 25 days left. -

My way is easier, just launch TMPGEnc and it's refreshed, fresh as a daisy.
Cheerz.
