  1. I have a pal dvd that I am trying to convert to ntsc. The extracted the audio and the video to a mpeg2 file but tmpenc will not open it. The only thing I can figure is that it is because it has ac3 sound. What other options for re-encoding it are there since I already have a mpeg2 file with audio and video? Thanks!!

  2. Will the mpeg2 play in VLC?

Is it progressive or interlaced (25i)? Shit, it probably doesn't matter since you will have to resize it to 480 lines. Looks like you will have to re-encode it anyways.

  4. Have you tried opening it in DGIndex (dgMPEGdec)?
