Being over here in Japan, I sometimes have some VCRs that aren't available in the states fall into my lap. I've been able to pick up a Victor VX-200 (like a JVC HR-S9600) and a Toshiba SVHS unit that rivals the picture quality of the Victor. I found an old monster today. A National (Panasonic) AG 3700. This is an ancient SVHS unit that won't even put up a blue screen when there's no signal. And forget auto tracking, there's nothing but a dial on this thing. It will need some work though, it's got red, blue, and green "marching ants" in the picture but for $5 I was happy I took the chance. Does anyone have an old Panasonic that might match up with this one on the USA side? I out my digital camera since my family's on vacation right now or I'd post a picture.
