Yes I loan money to both family and friends.
    Unfortunately they recieve gifts. (Mostly)

    Why ??
I thought it was needed, the "right thing to do" and I refuse to allow myself to become cold and selfish by others action. Foolish? maybe but then life is not just about who has the most toys, atleast not my life.

    Errr! Mumble grumble.

    Yes I sometimes loan money
No I don't like to when asked to. Although sometimes I do feel charitable for a good cause or the right things. And alot has to do with my funds and the amount involved.
No I don't always get it back. Sometimes it is bad bookeeping in my head and it is an honest oops I forgot. Some times we call it a loan knowing full well it is a gift or theft depending on the circumstances and the people involved.

Fives and tens fly all around with me and my crew. Most of the time it is a matter of lunch money and lack of time to get to a bank machine or such with our botched up scheduals.

  8. The one thing if you loan money to a friend and then you ask for a favor down the road and your friend is like I do not want to do that. I get mad when my friend said no.

I had a friend that was tight on money and he had a wife and kid. So i felt bad every week or two 100 dollars. I paid it back in about two weeks. So i felt it was not a big deal.

I would let him use my Super-Nentedo all the time with my games. One time the plug broke and I told him to pay for it. He said you use it to. I said yes but if you did not use it I would not have to unplug it so you can take it.

Another friend I load him 250 dollars to pay his car loan. Then he lost his job. I told him to go to Best Buy they are now hiring now. he said I do not want to work at a store. He want to make websites.

I told him you can still do that but do this so you can pay me off. he said no I'll have a job soon. Took him three months to pay me off.

Friends I do. Its no problem, I don't ask for the money back because I know they got my back too when I need their help.

Family, on the other hand, I have learned my lesson. Once, I tried borrowing $50 and they made a big deal. Finally got the money and was then hounded every single day until I finally repaid it three days later. So then my bitch of a sister went out and did some dental stuff done with no job and no insurance. How was she supposed to pay for that? So then she comes to me asking for the money. OK so I give it to her. Over a $1,000. A couple of weeks later, she asks for more money. I told her about the money I had previously given her. She says she can't pay me back. So I said no. Not until you pay me back. So, what she did is she stole the money from me. Over $2,000. She's denying it but I know she did it. My parents were no help. When I went to them, my dad brought up what he paid for some dental stuff I had gotten done when I was in a car accident 6 years ago.

So, always go by BJ's advice: Never loan or borrow money to family.

What kind of a man are you? The guy is unconscious in a coma and you don't have the guts to kiss his girlfriend?

my take on this is that i wont loan out an extraordinary amount of money ($500-1000+) unless its a dire situation.. other than that i'll loan friends & family nominal amounts, $20-200.. but if they dont pay me back, or dont pay me back how they said they would (next paycheck, but i get it back 2 months later), then i never loan them money again.. and when they borrow a small amount like $20 and dont pay it back, its pretty good because i know i wont have to loan them money ever again.
