I just picked up the Pioneer DVR-633H today, the local retailer matched Vann's price of $469. I'll write a review in about a week once I've had time to play with it a bit. One thing I can tell you now is that this recorder does play DVD+R (with or without DVD-ROM bitset) discs and DVD+R DL (with or without DVD-ROM bitset) along with JPEG photo discs.

I'm planning on buyng one this coming Monday. I will post any info I find once I try it. I can't wait to get it. Looks promising. This will be my first standalone DVR. Hope I won't be dissapointed.
