I don't know about you, but I love trying out and playing with new free s/w.

I recently downloaded the latest version of Wax2 (v2.0e) and DebugMode Frameserver (v2.3). The latest version of Wax will let you frameserve out using the latest version of the're frameserver. This allows you to do some very cool things like export to Mpeg via standalone encoder (something you can't do in AE).

You can also open that signpost avi in just about anything that will open it. So you can create that special effect in Wax2, then frameserve it into that cheesy video editor that came with your dvd burner without creating a large avi. Even Windows Movie Maker will open the signpost!

Another cool thing you can do is, open the signpost in WMP to see it in full screen so you can check out how it will look.

I had so much fun playing with Wax2, that I made a Cute little Motion Menu using it's new Chroma Key filter. Check it out, it's not bad considering it was made with totally free s/w:

    Link doesn't work.

    Try this:

    wax_menu.wmv

    If in doubt, Google it.

It's a bug with the forum - coughcoughbaldrickcoughcough

I've found you need to upload the file "silently" - that is, don't specify the url tags, but still upload the file, then edit your post, and put in the url tags with just the filename then, and it should work properly.
    If in doubt, Google it.
