Hi,

I have used ffmeg for several times and have been reading this forum so I could learn how to use it ... thank you.

My problem:
I have 2 AVI's (600 MB each) and I have learned NOT to join them (AVI does not support large files). So, I should use Sizzle, but by using Sizzle the (selectable) subtitles are gone. If I have been studying this forum correctly I have to:
- (Video) encode with DVD mpeg2enc (instead of DVD ffmeg)
- (audio) use MP2 (instead of AC3)
- (filters) select 'VOB subtitles' and obtain to 'Burn' (But between VOB and Burn, you must select a number (0 tot 31) What is this and what do I have to select?
- (Options) Decode with Quicktime of with mplayer? Don't know this, ... I prefer good quality
-
By the way, when I use preview, I see that everything is correct and the subtitles are wright on time (using subsync), but what is the option 'split' ... what does it do?

After encoding, I have:
1 large .m2v
1 empty .mp2
1 semi-large .wav

I know I have to select .m2v in sizzle and link .wav on it to obtain Video_TS and Audio_TS but when I watch the .m2v in VLC, I have no subtitles, why aren't they burned on the movie? I have to admit (because I do not kwow the meaning of the number between VOB and burn, I didn't select any, so it was '0'.

So, I hope you understand my English (it's my fourth language, so I am not very good in it) and thank you for taking time and answering it.

ffmeg is a very good program! Congratulations!

Greetings
