I just ordered some TY at Meritline.com, and I'm griping about a couple things.
First, the online coupon code they provided was great, $8 off a 100 pack of 4x TY DVD-Rs. So, I thought I'd purchase 2 of the hundred packs. But when the subtotal came up, the coupon was only applied once. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but it I go into a store and I have multiple coupons and I buy multiples of the same item, I get to use all my coupons - so why can't we do that online? Or at least at Meritline? Is this the way it always is?
Second, when I was going to check out, there was this required field I had to check that if my credit card was declined I was required to pay for the order via PayPal, a money order, or cashiers check. When the heck did that start? I haven't ordered from Meritline in about 5 months I think, but I don't remember that being there last time. And how can they require I pay via another method? Presumably, if I couldn't pay with the credit card I am over my limit or overdrawn or something, so why would I have the cash to run out and get a MO/CC or send it through PayPal? Is this becoming common with online retailers? I don't do a whole lot online, so I'm curious if this is a new trend or what.
I'm interested in everyone's input. I would have tried the same item at Supermediastore, but they were out of stock over there.
