Hey, I have to say this is a great board with awesome users, so keep up the amazing work!
I wanted to know, after searching both this board and Doom9 if there was any way, using the D2S/D2SRoBa combo with VCDXBuild selected under the CD Image tab, if there is any way to make is so that instead of ending up with files named "CD_Image_File_CD1.bin/cue" and so forth, you'd end up with filenames that represented either the Movie Title or CD Label, both of which are input fields that can be decided on during each rip. Allow me to give an example using the movie "Aliens":
So instead of getting "CD_Image_File_CD1.bin", you'd get "Aliens.CD1.bin". If possible, and if it exists, I wouldn't mind editing an ini to make it so that the name for the image can be read from one of the abovementioned fields, I just don't know what to edit lol
I am extremely sorry if this has already been answered elsewhere on the forum and I missed it, but would appreciate any kind of answer or a step in the right direction! Thank you again guys and gals :P

I don't know anything about D2S, but you can use any output filename with VCDXBuild that you like.

Hey vitualis, thanx for the quick reply!
I was wondering, is there any ini type file (for changing default option/preferences) that I can edit that belongs to VCDXBuild to change what the default filename will be after packing, possibly using variable based code so that it'll give each rip a custom name? -
VCDXBUILD itself is only a command console program. If another program (e.g., some sort of GUI) uses VCDXBUILD to create VCD or SVCD images, it will depend on that helper program to input the necessary commands.
VCDXBUILD itself has no problems outputting whatever filename you want for your disc image.
Your problem sounds like it is a limitation of "DS2" (again, I have no knowledge of this program).

Ok, sounds good, so hopefully someone on the board with some more knowledge regarding DVD2SVCD/D2SRoBa will be able to help me further!
Thanx for the help vitualis -
On the doom9 forums, it was pointed out to me that this may be possible to do using batchfiles, and a program called WOOP. If anyone who is either familiar with D2S, WOOP, or even MS-DOS in this case, plz lemme know if you can spare your time and help me figure this out. Would really appreciate it!

If whatever helper program you are using creates the source XML descriptor file for the S/VCD, then you can use another number of other tools to compile a disc image in CUE/BIN with VCDXBUILD.
Of course, you could use VCDXBUILD itself and learn to use the command console. Other possibilities include using VCDEasy or a little GUI I wrote a while back VCDImager Tools GUI: https://www.videohelp.com/~vitualis/vcdimager_tools_gui.html
If you do use VCDImager Tools GUI, I recommended the lkVCDxBUILD over the original VCDXBUILD.

Wow, vitualis, that's an awesome looking GUI right there, but unfortunately, the helper program doesn't create a source XML file, and my guess is that it just command lines the entire process when using VCDXBuild. I believe if I find where it defaults to "CD_Image_File_CD#.bin/cue", then I should be able to change that to represent a variable that the program provides. For example, in DVD2SVCD, if the variable %MT stands for what is input in the Movie Title field when setting up for a rip... the only problem is that, so far, I've gone through all the ini files in the DVD2SVCD folder trying to find where defines that default naming pattern, but have have unsuccessful. Please keep up the hard work, and I'm sure we'll find an answer to this one too
