I use Windows Media Player 10, and the only two codecs isntalled on my computer are the DivX codecs from divx.com and Xvid codec pack that you can find on videohelp.com
So i want to make my DVDs playable on my computer as well, so i have to install some mpeg layer-4 codec or something (i forgot..), and I know that if I install WinDVD, I'll have that codec. So I install it.
My DVDs work fine, but when I open up my DivX in Windows Media Player 10, they just don't work.... The player says "Playing" but there's nothing happening.. The position bar just stays at the beginging... here's a screen shot. It just stays black like that.
What's weird though, is that when I use VLC Media Player, it works fine... so the problem must be with my Windows Media Player 10. I already tried reinstalling Windows Media Player 10 and the Xvid codec.
