Hi - I'd like to upgrade to a hard-disk DVD recorder, the RD-XS34 seems to fit my needs but I still have some doubts:
- I've heard that it's not compatible with 8X DVD-R media. That would make this machine useless for archiving on DVD in a few years, when 4X or 2X media will be no longer avaiable. It sounds quite strange; isn't DVD-R media backward-compatible? I thought that I could always burn a 8X disc at 4X or 2X..![]()
- can anyone confirm that it can't play DVD+R discs?
- is a full owners manual available somewhere? There's only the first half on toshiba.co.uk![]()
