Stream errors when recording with Liteon 5001?

I notice that when I use the Daytek DP-30 that I converted to the Liteon 5001, I get stream errors when attempting to convert the mpeg files. I have to run the files through Videoredo to correct them as the files cannot be converted directly with programs like DVD2SVCD (I get a wrong framerate error in every case). This is all new to me coming from the Panasonic E80H where I never had such a problem on hundreds of captures and encodes. Any pointers or software that can convert the Daytek/Liteon files directly to SVCD without going through other programs to clean up the errors produced by the recorder?

Found the solution...use Chrissyboy's VOB2MPG tool and it will accept the VOB sets and turn them into Mpegs on your computer HDD for further post processing...Nice!
