My video card has a tv output. but, when i plug a video cable into it, and (duh) attach the other end of the cable to my tv, it does nothing.
I go to device manager and scan for new hardware. it finds nothing new.
i go to my video card settings and select "force tv detection". it now sees my tv as a secondary monitor, but all my tv shows is static. just like when i set my tv to a channel i dont have. nothing but static.
How do i fix this problem?

Sorry...
I don't know how I forgot to mention the technical details. Perhaps I was too much in a hurry to post it. lol
It's an RCA (composite?) output.
The video card is an nVidia GeForce PCX 5750 128MB.
I am running Windows XPasdf -
I don't know what you mean by AV or AV1...
And yes, I have my tv set to AV Input, just as I do when i use my PS2 or my DVD Playerasdf -
OK, good.
You've got a composite (RCA) cable from your video card into the TV. What port does it hook into on the TV ? What does the TV call it ?
Do you have your DVD player and your PS2 hooked up at the same time, or do you need to pull one out to plug the other one in, ebcause you've only got 1 port ?
Some TVs have 3 AV inputs, some have 2, and some have just the oneIf in doubt, Google it. -
My TV just calls it VIDEO.
I have the RCA plugs on the front. yellow and white (my tv has mono sound)
No, I can't have my dvd player and my PS2 hooked up at the same time. I have to unhook one to use the other.asdf -
Yes, that's what I figured. But, I don't know what to do on the computer, vid.card settings, etc
Updated drivers for the vid.card perhaps?
I'm pretty sure they are up to date.asdf
