  1. I have not been in this forums in a few years?
I had a Sony DRU-510a, using DVDDecryptor, DVD2One, InstantCopy was working fine for me.
Now I have upgraded to NEC 3540a DL. Was trying to burn on Verbatim DL with InstantCopy but I could not figure out to increase file size from 4.31gig to DL 8.5gig. I am guessing my software is out of date.
What software do you people recommend to burn to Dual Layer? Was looking into DVDClone and AnyDVD. But reading thru the user guide, it didn't say anything about DL burning.
I would like the best quality available with ability to burn with and without menu and extras. Thanks.

And, soon, PgcEdit if you want to burn from files, rather than from ISO... (but it uses Decrypter for the actual burning).

I have used Nero 6 to successfully burn a double layer (Not dual layer) DVD +R disk.

Double layer and Dual Layer are the same thing.

According to supermediastore.com, "Note that the term: Dual Layer Media is for DVD-R DL Media and Double Layer Media is for DVD+R DL media."

I realize that this is not the ultimate authority on these things, but I have read this elsewhere as well.

  7. Everyone has their own opinion about this of course, but here is mine: the best software for burning to DL discs, because it "knows" and observes all layer break rules, is RecordNow v7.3.

If you look hard enough the Deluxe version can be had for $30.

Well, supermediastores is wrong. Double and Dual are the same thing. Dictionary confirms it.

This website refers to DVD+R DL as Dual layer and Double Layer.
