I have a Mpg 1 file which I want to convert to Mpg 2, the 1 file plays fine, however when I try to convert it to a Mpg 2 file, it freezes on a frame X number of minutes in and you get that frame for the rest of the file convertion, which finishes as if ok.

If I go in and remove the frame that it freezes on in the Mpg 1 file it seams to convert correctly...

Is there a way of checking the file before playing? Is there a setting I have screwed up?

    Doesn't happen on all convertions.

  2. Not answering your question, but why are you converting from mpeg-1 to mpeg-2 and what are the specs of the source and destination files (resolution, framerate, bitrate etc).

Ooh couldn't tell you the specs right now, will have to look into it. The reason I'm doing it is so that I create a DVD out of the file, and can use two (or three) files back to back onto one disc.

DVD supports mpeg-1 at VCD resolution. Audio has to be at 48k sample rate.
